Marjorie Taylor Greene 'aggressively' confronts AOC and accuses her of supporting 'terrorists'

The Washington Post reports Greene, a Republican from Georgia, attempted to confront AOC, a Democrat from NY, outside the House chamber on Wednesday afternoon.

After Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, left a meeting in the House chamber, Greene directly approached her by shouting and asking her why she supported "terrorist" groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter, according to Washington Post reporters who witnessed the exchange first hand.

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez raised security concerns after getting into a heated confrontation with controversial Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

"You don't care about the American people", Greene reportedly yelled. 'Why do you support terrorists and antifa?' "AOC is a fraud & a hypocrite", she posted on Twitter. Greene then turned to nearby reporters and called Ocasio-Cortez a "chicken".

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) allegedly approached Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday and questioned her support of "terrorist" groups. The episode erupted on Wednesday afternoon after Ocasio-Cortez had criticized the Biden administration's stance on Israel.

Greene told reporters on Thursday that she was just talking to her and seeking discussion about legislation. She continues to deny the validity of the 2020 presidential election.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) denounced Greene's embrace of QAnon conspiracy theories and "loony lies" as a "cancer for the Republican Party". She's a member of Congress.

Ocasio-Cortez has not defended Hamas militant actions, tweeting on Wednesday that they are "condemnable".

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) briefly commented on the reported matter during her Thursday news conference, referring to Greene's remarks as a "verbal assault" and "abuse".

Moments later, Greene began to question her colleague on why she chose to support "terrorist" groups such as Black Lives Matter and United States anti-fascist movement Antifa, the Post's sources claim.

A spokesperson for Ocasio-Cortez told Insider in a statement that Greene had been "screaming".

CNN reports Rep. Cori Bush (D-Missouri) moved her office away from Greene's after Bush confronted Greene about not wearing a mask in a hallway on Capitol Hill.
