Brussels will approve a deal for 160 million doses of USA firm Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday.

"A safe and effective vaccine can help us end the pandemic, and return gradually to normal life", Von der Leyen said. "But we are not ready to put into question the integrity of our single market", she told the European Parliament.
