US President Donald Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr has tested positive for Covid-19

Donald Trump Jr. has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Trump Jr.is following all medically recommended guidelines for COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, the spokesperson added.

The spokesman said the younger Trump learned of his diagnosis earlier this week, but he has no symptoms and has been quarantining.

President Donald Trump tested positive and was shifted to the army hospital for better treatment, where he claimed to have found the "magical cure".

A spokesman for Trump Jr. said Friday that he tested positive at the beginning of the week and began quarantining.

Earlier this month, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows was among several aides of President Trump who tested positive for the infection.

Bloomberg first reported the news.

Last week, Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski tested positive, as did David Bossie, the adviser leading the election lawsuit efforts. One of the lawyers, Jenna Ellis, said Friday on Twitter that she and Rudy Giuliani had tested negative for infection. In the middle of the election cycle, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID-19.

While the seriousness of their injuries is not known as yet, the injured have been rushed to hospital. Mayfair Mall management has indicated that the mall will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, November 21.


Trump's girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle had tested positive for coronavirus over the summer. Several guests tested positive for Covid-19 after attending a nomination ceremony in late September for Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, where attendees commingled, shook hands and few wore masks.

Trump Jr. was among the roughly 250 guests who attended the White House's indoor election night party, where almost every attendee was seen not wearing a mask.

The news comes as there have more than 250,000 deaths and more than 11 million cases have been confirmed in the U.S, based on NBC News' count.
