WHO chief says coronavirus is 'not tired', urges vigilance

The World Health Organization director-general says the United Nations agency is "extremely concerned" by a surge of coronavirus cases particularly in Europe and North America, saying health workers and systems are "being pushed to the breaking point".

Moderna Inc's experimental vaccine is 94.5% effective in preventing COVID-19 based on interim data from a late-stage trial, the company said on Monday, becoming the second US drugmaker to report results that far exceed expectations.
