Another coronavirus scare for Patriots, who cancel practice after positive test | Latest on Colts, Falcons

The Broncos had COVID-19 news of their own Saturday: Running backs coach Curtis Modkins has tested positive and won't make the trip to New England. He was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday.

The team later placed a total of 12 on its Practice Squad/COVID-19 list, which applies to players who have tested positive as well as those who may have been exposed.

The reserves are together and apart from active players during meetings and workouts.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Sunday morning that they'd had no new positive test results and were set to play the Detroit Lions as scheduled in Jacksonville.

I know we're not supposed to go against Bill Belichick off a loss (but it's 2020, and the old rules don't always apply) and Cam Newton is back, but the Patriots still shouldn't be double-digit favorites here.

The COVID-19 outbreak has continued to wreak havoc on the Patriots.

Cominsky, 24, joined defensive tackle Marlon Davidson on the Falcons virus list while an assistant coach tested positive on Thursday, prompting the club to close its practice facility before reopening Friday.

The Jaguars also placed defensive end Josh Mauro on the regular COVID-19 list.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are the latest National Football League team dealing with a positive COVID-19 test. He has a $2 million roster bonus due on the fifth day after players report to training camp next summer in addition to $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses and the $4.5 million fully guaranteed base salary.

The uncertainty follows the Falcons and New England Patriots closing their practice facilities in the past week.

Newton and Gilmore, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, returned to practice this week for the first time since testing positive for the coronavirus.

The Broncos had coronavirus news of their own Saturday. The team was also awaiting confirmation on the possibility of a second positive test, according to a source.

"Curtis is now at home in self-isolation and experiencing no symptoms", the team said in a statement. However, Lock started practicing this week and was a full participant all three days.
