Breaking News - "South Park" Returns with One Night Hour-Long Special Event Premiering Wednesday, September 30 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central

South Park will be returning at the end of September with a one-hour special about the coronavirus pandemic.

For Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny the quartet are having to adjust to the new normal of living in a COVID-19 world as they head back to school.

The teaser promises to cover additional "2020 problems", and shows the kids with germ barriers around their desks in the classroom, while their teachers have been replaced by cops. Like the real world, life in "South Park" has been turned upside-down.

But Apple One isn't just transformative for the company; the offering could redefine our very understanding of the streaming wars. The primary focus was on the Apple Watch, as evidenced by the "Time Flies" catchphrase that was introduced with the invitations.


All-new episodes will be available to stream in HD exclusively on South Park Studios, CC.com and the Comedy Central App immediately following the west coast airing and on HBO Max 24 Hours after premiere. Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II are the Executive Producers of the Emmy (R) and Peabody (R) Award-winning South Park.

The most recent season finished airing in December 2019.

The show, which usually runs for 30 minutes, has never done an episode running longer than a half-hour in its 23-year history.
