Huge Explosion Rocks Baltimore Neighborhood

A gas explosion in Baltimore, Maryland has destroyed three homes in a residential neighborhood on Monday, killing one woman while severely injuring several others.

The Baltimore Fire Department has taken to Twitter to confirm that one person has died from the explosion, while two others are in "serious condition".

Search and rescue operations are still ongoing at the scene of the incident, with multiple units from the surrounding areas being called in for help "due to the complexity and size of the incident".

The sanctions freeze any United States assets of the officials and generally bar Americans from doing business with them. Commissioner of Police Chris Tang Ping-keung dismissed the so-called sanction, according to local media Oriental Daily.

"We are on the scene and working closely with the fire department to make the situation safe", she said, without answering any questions from reporters. Photos uploaded on social media showed at least one building that was totally leveled.
