Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine Tests Positive For The Coronavirus

Mike DeWine (R) announced on Thursday that he tested positive for coronavirus. After receiving a positive result, those plans were dashed.

The First Lady is not showing any symptoms.

DeWine announced that he was administered an antigen test in the morning and a PCR test in the afternoon, and was more confident in the results of the latter.

DeWine had been set to greet Trump at the Cleveland airport when he was given a test for the virus, in line with standard protocol for meeting the president. "Very, very scary", Gov. MIke De Wine said Tuesday. "We will be working with the manufacturer to have a better understanding of how the discrepancy between these two tests could have occurred". He is returning to Columbus with First Lady Fran DeWine, where they will both be tested.

Facebook Extends Remote Work Until July 2021
In addition to this, Facebook has, ironically, leased the entire Manhattan's Farley Building to use as its NY office space. Facebook's transfer to increase WFH by way of mid-2021 follows an analogous announcement by Google final month.

On Thursday evening, DeWine said on Twitter that a follow-up test appeared to have given him a clean bill of health.

His initial test was part of the regular protocol of when officials come in contact with the president. "We know that our faith-based leaders want nothing more than to protect those who come to worship". I spoke with him yesterday about the ongoing COVID-19 response at the federal and state level and I'm certain he'll continue to lead a strong and safe reopening of OH while following the proper protocols and quarantining at home in Cedarville.

Lt. Gov. Jon Husted was also tested. I think it's the Shoreby Club. "I will continue to work closely with him to support our health care system, our schools, our local governments, our employers, and all OH families during the ongoing pandemic".

DeWine has taken more aggressive action during the coronavirus pandemic than other Republican governors.

On Thursday, DeWine pushed back against critics who falsely claim that face masks are ineffective: "If people take that lesson from the fact that I apparently have it, that would be the wrong lesson".

"It is vital that, any time people gather together, everyone wear masks, practice social distancing, wash hands, and while indoors, making sure there is good ventilation and airflow", he said.

OH has seen an upward trend in Covid-19 cases since DeWine launched the state's reopening protocols in May, and state health officials are reportedly not relying on virus modeling to mitigate the spread.
