Cineworld has pushed back the reopening of its cinemas until July 31.
The business is the first of the United Kingdom cinema chains to delay reopening following the second date shift for "Tenet". But while some film venues look set to open as early as possible, one of the major chains has in fact delayed its reopening.
With Warner Bros. pushing the release date of Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" to August 12, it was only a matter of time before movie theaters made adjustments to their reopening schedules.

Theatres-owned Odeon stays the course for July 4 reopening of United Kingdom cinemas. Both Mulan and Tenet have been shifted to August releases in the last week, in large part due to ongoing restrictions in Los Angeles and NY. "With the ongoing pandemic, this new date remains subject to final confirmation".
Cineworld has confirmed that when cinemas do open, it will be with new safety measures in place, but some staff say the measures do not go far enough.
They said: "We will monitor and adapt to this new situation as necessary and will continue to follow future advice from the relevant government agencies".
