Public officials at the Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Department are in the beginning stages of the investigation and are working to identify individuals who were in contact with the case.

It's been four days since Public Health has announced any new cases of COVID-19. This week's totals bring the county to 994 cases since March.

One case is imported, from the United States of America, while the other is a contact of a prior imported case.

The state as a whole reported 362 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total up to 44,930.

The number of people hospitalized is at its lowest level since May 9.

Only slightly more men than women have been infected with 50 percent of the cases being male and 49 percent, female.

Of the new cases, two of the people are in their 50s, one is in their 40s, one is in their 30s and one is a child under 10.

According to Lewis County Health Department Director Anita Bertram, the newest case, as well as several active cases, are connected to group settings.

- Mason County, there are 29 confirmed cases. In front are Polk with 5,682; Woodbury, 3,095; Black Hawk, 1,941; Buena Vista, 1,678; Linn, 1,136; and Dallas with 1,097.
