Early coronavirus testing data from US states and cities, including Minnesota, where the police killing of George Floyd sparked global protests, suggest recent mass gatherings haven't led to a marked uptick in new cases.
The S&P 500 closed off 0.56%, the Dow lost 0.8% and the Nasdaq managed to eke out a gain of 0.03%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 83.02 points, or 0.83%, at 10,026.07. All three major averages posted modest weekly gains. The Dow and S&P 500 were each up at least 1% week to date while the Nasdaq has risen 3.5%.
