Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee in the 2020 presidential race, released a new campaign ad on Saturday night criticizing President Donald Trump for spending the day golfing while the death toll from the coronavirus in the US neared 100,000.
Trump also planned Memorial Day visits to Arlington National Cemetery and the Fort McHenry national monument in Baltimore, followed by a trip to Florida's coast on Wednesday to watch to US astronauts blast into orbit.
Biden went on the attack against Trump Friday when he posted a campaign ad that claimed the president "froze like a deer in the headlights" when the coronavirus outbreak hit the U.S.
"They're inside, they don't wear masks and so I thought it was very unusual that he had one on".
