With many employees told to work from home over the last few months, some companies worldwide have now started on plans to resume office life.

"Because we still expect that most Googlers will be largely working from home for the rest of this year, we'll be giving each Googler an allowance of $1,000 United States dollars, or the equivalent value in your country, to expense necessary equipment and office furniture", says Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, in an email sent to all Google employees.

As of right now, Google's plan is to get its office back to around 30% by September, but in the letter, Pichai acknowledged that everything is contingent on external conditions which could alter the roadmap.
