Wayne County has surpassed 1,000 cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday morning, according to Wayne County Government.
The three individuals were previously identified positive cases in Columbus County. That continues the trend of smaller positive test percentages which began late last week.
Three more deaths were reported bringing the state's total to 517.
