(Gray News) - The Environmental Protection Agency on Thursday released a list of disinfectants it said are qualified for use against the new coronavirus, COVID-19.

EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said: "Using the right disinfectant is an important part of preventing and reducing the spread of diseases along with other critical aspects such as hand washing".

While the EPA-approved coronavirus disinfectants list does provide several options for fighting COVID-19, the agency said that there may be additional disinfectants that meet the criteria for use against the virus.
