5G iPhone and iPad Pro arriving in the fall

Apple A14 chip orders to skyrocket in preparation for strong 5G iPhone demand

The next iPad Pro will pack this game-changing feature (report)

While there is no confirmation about this from Apple, the report suggests why Apple may be considering making its own 5G antenna. It was recently reported that Apple is expected to launch iPhones with 5G support this year.

Additionally, Fast Company points out that Apple may design its own 5G antenna because it wants as few Qualcomm-developed components in its devices as possible. With Apple looking to keep pricing on the new phone as low as possible, it will nearly certainly be reusing components wherever possible, with the exception of key performance-related components like the A-series chip, which is rumored to move from the A11 chip in the ‌iPhone 8‌ to Apple's latest A13 chip.
