According to BILD, Werner has a release clause of £50million to £55million depending on Leipzig's performance.

Werner's release clause expires in April, so it makes sense for Liverpool to be looking to get a deal done early in order to get the player for €58m.

It is understood that Liverpool could consider Firmino's bid as they are aiming to sign B Leipzig striker Timo Werner, while Bayern have already made plans of fitting Firmino well in the team as they aim to field him alongside another of their targets, Manchester City's Leroy Sane.

Werner has been linked with a move to a number of clubs throughout January but Liverpool have emerged as the favourites.
