"Bachelorette" contestant Tyler Gwozdz - known to fans as "Tyler G" - died Wednesday, nine days after being hospitalized for a suspected overdose.

The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office in Florida confirmed Gwozdz's death to Page Six but would not provide additional details. After arriving, medics took Tyler to the hospital, where he was admitted into the intensive care unit in critical, but stable condition.

On The Bachelorette's fifteenth season, Tyler won a rose on Night 1 and then received the very first one-on-one date of the season in which he and Hannah enjoyed a helicopter ride followed by some ATVing in the mud.

Police and paramedics in Boca Raton, Fla., had rushed to a residence the morning of January 13 in response to a call about a possible overdose, multiple media outlets reported Thursday. She had been trying to break down the door to the bathroom, where Gwozdz was locked inside. No reason was given to explain his departure, with Brown simply telling the rest of the contestants that he "had to leave". He denied a viral Reddit post that claimed to know specifics.

Tyler later told Refinery 21, "This was a decision that I came to with producers, and something that I've come to realize what is the best decision that could've been made".

"My friend overdosed and he won't wake up", the woman on the call said, to which the 911 dispatcher asked if she could identify if Tyler was breathing at the time.
