The U.S. war in Afghanistan is winding down, and Pakistan has won.

Apparently, the United States believes that Pakistan has enough influence on the Taliban to persuade them to stop attacking U.S. and Afghan positions in Afghanistan for at least as long as the peace talks continue.

I always use the phrase "be yourself" but I have realised now that there are times when you just can't be. I've had to mature and wise up. "Sometimes when your worries are so deep you can't function properly".

"I want to condemn this more coordinated terrorist attack near Bagram Air Force Base in the strongest possible terms", he said. Perhaps the Taliban have changed, but not necessarily for the better, as the uptick in attacks throughout Khalilzad's negotiations show.
