Ousted Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera reveals his biggest regret

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera looks on during the first half of an NFL football game against the Tennessee Titans in Charlotte N.C. Sunday Nov. 3 2019

Panthers Fire Coach Rivera

He might have misjudged the size of the issues with his team at times, and he was more than willing to go out of his way to not answer certain questions, but he never tried to pass the blame onto somebody else. The Carolina Panthers would like to have a word. It would be very against brand for GM Bob Quinn to pull the ripcord on his fellow former New England colleague after just two seasons, but preaching patience will be a hard sell for an organization that fired Jim Caldwell two years ago after a 9-7 finish.

Rivera was named the fourth head coach in Carolina Panthers history in 2011, and earned a 76-63-1 regular season record and a 3-4 postseason mark.

After getting the boot from new owner David Tepper on Tuesday, Rivera said he has no plans to leave the league.

Tepper said the Panthers would undertake a "comprehensive and thorough" review of the team's operation following Rivera's dismissal.

"Absolutely", said Rivera, who was speaking at his farewell news conference Wednesday, when asked whether he wanted to coach again. He also expressed that waiting until the end of the season to begin the coaching search would put the Panthers at a competitive disadvantage. "I can go on and on but most importantly; thank you for allowing me to be me".

"I don't want a bad person in there", Tepper added. "People have just told me to be myself. I think as much respect as I have for Ron, I think a change was appropriate to build things the way I want things to be built". "And we were the first team in the NFC South to do it, so I'm doggone proud of that". So does that make him a prime candidate for the Panthers vacancy? Rivera brought stability to the franchise and had plenty of success in Carolina.

Uber releases safety report revealing 5,981 reports of sexual assault
Since 2017 the company has tripled the size of its safety team, and has added a new "In-App Emergency Button" safety feature. For instance, Thomson Reuters Foundation 2018 survey says India is the most risky country for sexual violence against women.

Unfortunately, a head coach like Garrett with the kind of talent Dallas has on both sides of the football can only receive so many opportunities to prove himself before it's time to cut the chord and move on. It has struggled near the goal-line with Carolina losing four games partly because of issues within its opponents' five-yard line.

Rivera noted that his desire to leap right back into another gig if given a chance is to continue to influence the lives of young men.

In terms of what a prospective coach looking to learn from Rivera could get about leadership is that ultimately you have to be willing to stand up and hold yourself and others accountable. "Interest in the team had been low".

Jon Favreau on Why Fans Aren't Getting Baby Yoda for Christmas
There's hope yet though - " The Mandalorian " season 2 is underway, with Favreau directing an episode this time around. That means Baby Yoda should still be relatively young in Rise of Skywalker , assuming it survives that long.

Rivera took over a 2-14 team when he came to Carolina.
