Three high-ranking teams have already fallen, opening the door for the Louisville Cardinals to enter the spotlight.

Jordan Nwora had 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Louisville held No. 4 MI to a season-low 26% shooting mark for a 58-43 victory Tuesday night in its first game since returning to No. 1.

If you are a Louisville fan or not, these are new. With only a few hours before the start, Louisville has released its uniform for the massive game tonight.

"Our season's not over yet". "No. 1's just a number".

"Man, I said I wasn't going to get emotional but it's. this is special", he said. "Michigan players were saying they were ready to face us and whatever we had to bring they were going to get past that and get the win".

Jon Teske had 18 points and 10 rebounds for MI, which was denied its third straight win over a top-10 team.

The suspect, also implicated in the murder of a Russian businessman in 2013, has maintained his right to keep silent. The espionage department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office in the western city of Karlsruhe will work on the case.

"Our season's not over yet", Cardinals guard Lamarr Kimble said. Outside of early in second half, when the Wolverines cut the lead to 4 points at the 16:59 mark, the Cardinals were in control all night - against a MI team that had scored 73 points against North Carolina and 82 against Gonzaga less than a week earlier.

The Cardinals went on an 11-1 run in the first half to take an 18-5 lead with 7:46 remaining and pushed the lead to 15 points before taking a 28-18 edge into the break. Steve Enoch also contributed 13 points.

Louisville (8-0, 1-0 ACC) didn't let up in the final 20 minutes, either.

Fulfilling that priority helped the Cardinals succeed in their season debut as the nation's No. 1 team.

Cardinals junior forward Jordan Nwora scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win at Louisville's KFC Yum!

Green got choked up during his speech addressing the crowd at halftime of Michigan State's game against Duke, saying that his goal growing up was just to play for the program.

Football: Forgot who Louisville has in its 2020 recruiting class?

Heading into the game, MI had all the hype as they were coming off an impressive run in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament where they easily dismantled No. 6 North Carolina and No. 8 Gonzaga in back to back games. They were talking into existence a win, and we're not about that here.

Nwora was not the only Cardinals player in double-digits.

Players seem more focused on building on it. Ellison was unable to attend, but Griffith and Hancock each spoke amid cheers from the crowd. "I trust. We all trust".

Both teams are back in action Friday.
