A DYING man has been granted his last wish to watch the latest Star Wars movie with his son before it is released.

The tweet received a huge response with thousands of people retweeting it which was immediately noticed by Disney CEO Robert Iger.

The hospice said: "This is our most desperate hour".

On Thanksgiving Day, Bob Iger confirmed that the patient's wish had been granted. The Marketing manager Julie Strutt said, "We are thankful to all the staff at Disney who have given up special time with their families to offer something special during American Thanksgiving". May the force be with you #WeAreTheSpark'. The film hits the screens worldwide on December 20th 2019.

Not only did Iger later see the post, but Mark Hamill - who plays the titular character Luke Skywalker - came across the tweet and wished the patient "good luck".

"We totally appreciate that they have had to move mountains to make this happen!" she said.

Rowans Hospice says they are "utterly speechless" that Disney made this happen and can not thank the company enough for doing something so "absolutely phenomenal".
