Nazem Kadri Thinks People Took Don Cherry’s Comments ‘Out Of Context’

Cherry, a longtime supporter of the Canadian troops, went on a rant during Saturday's edition of "Coach's Corner" about the country's immigrants not wearing poppies to honor Canada's veterans.

The petition was launched two days ago by the publisher of conservative Alberta magazine Western Standard, claiming that Don Cherry is a Canadian icon and symbol of the working class, and therefore should not have been removed from his post as a commentator for Hockey Night in Canada.
