Assuming the new and other recent leaks are correct, buyers can expect the new MacBook Pro model to include an improved keyboard that is more reliable than the current version. Forbes also reported that a source in Asia said production was indeed underway.
As well, the report claims the new model will feature Intel processors, not the chips made by Apple, which are expected to land in some of the company's computers starting sometime next year.
Ricky Gervais to Host for Fifth and ‘Very Last’ Time — Golden Globes
So I super can't wait to hear what sick celebrity burns about identity and gender Gervais has for us this time around. His "edgy" humor, like so much of what passed for amusing twenty years ago, doesn't hold up today.
A new keyboard is also likely on the cards, as rumours claim Apple will ditch the much-maligned Butterfly keyboard on the 16in MacBook, opting instead for an all-new "scissor-switch" mechanism. Pricing is similarly unknown, but users should expect a price tag higher than the $2,799 15-inch MacBook Pro.
The MacBook Pro and Mac Pro will cap a year of Apple product releases that also included the iPhone 11 line, Apple Watch Series 5 and AirPods Pro. It's not even clear if Apple will achieve the 16-inch size by building a larger chassis or shrinking the bezels on the 15-inch model (my guess is the latter).

The new 16-inch machine, which will be the largest laptop Apple has offered for sale since the 17-inch MacBook Pro was discontinued, will "cost about the same" as the current 15-inch model. In fact, 9to5Mac has been hearing reports and rumors of possible New York City press briefings that could happen as soon as this week.
One previously speculated reason given for why the 16-inch MacBook Pro could be delayed was keyboard issues.
