Ibraheem Yazeed was arrested overnight for a warrant related to the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard

A nationwide manhunt came to an end Thursday when an Alabama man wanted for the disappearance of a woman in Auburn was arrested in Escambia County.

In Florida, officers were called by USA marshals to help them with the arrest alongside the Pine Forest exit on Interstate 10, Escambia Sheriff's Major Andrew Hobbs said.

Ibraheem Yazeed, 30, was arrested in Florida on Thursday at about 11pm after authorities received a tip that he had been spotted near Interstate 10 in Escambia County, Florida.

Auburn Police said in a news release that Blanchard disappeared on October 23 after she was last seen on video surveillance inside a convenience store on South College Street.

Yazeed's run-ins with Alabama law enforcers date back nearly a decade.

He had reportedly been out of jail on bond for attempted murder, two counts of first-degree kidnapping and two counts of first-degree robbery when Blanchard disappeared. He had not entered a plea in that case but his bond has been revoked due to the new charges, according to authorities.

Law enforcement on Monday released a snippet of video from a surveillance camera at a local convenience store, which showed Blanchard purchasing something there Wednesday. They said it was recorded just before her SUV was seen traveling southbound on South College Street and was the last place she had been seen.

According to WSFA, police in Florida arrested suspect Ibraheem Yazeed on Thursday night.

Blanchard's auto was found two days after she was last seen at an apartment complex in Montgomery. It had fresh damage along its passenger side.

Evidence from within Blanchard's vehicle (pictured below) was recovered in Montgomery.

A reward of $105,000 from multiple sources has been offered for anyone with information about the Southern Union State Community College student's disappearance.
