Karnataka Cricketers CM Gautam & Abrar Kazi Arrested for Fixing Links in KPL

Former Karnataka Ranji players CM Gautam and Abrar Kazi have been arrested on charges of spot-fixing in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) final earlier this year.

CM Gautam and Kazi are not the only individuals who have been arrested for being involved in the match-fixing scandal.

As per a report in Sportstar, both the players were paid "Rs 20 lakhs for batting slow" in the final. He had also featured in the Indian Premier League (IPL), being a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Mumbai Indians (MI). On the other hand, Kazi is also an experienced domestic cricketer and now plays for Mizoram.
