4 dead, 5 injured in Brooklyn nightclub shooting

Four men were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Four people were killed and three others injured in an early Saturday morning shooting in Brooklyn, police said.

"We need new tools to combat the surge in gun violence we are seeing in certain precincts across the city, including the 77th", Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams said in a statement. Shea said there was "evidence of gambling" including cards and dice inside.

Shots were fired at a Brooklyn club October 12, 2019.

The victims ranged in age from 32 to 49.

While police said they would not release the names of the seven victims at this time, they said they have "tentative" information that two of the victims lived outside of NY and the rest lived in Brooklyn.

Chief of Patrol Rodney Harrison said police have received no complaints in recent years about activity at the illegal spot.

According to police, the gunfire broke out shortly before 7 a.m. inside 74 Utica Ave., a business called Triple A Aces that advertises itself as a "private & social rental space".
