The combination of Reynolds and Ferrell is a promising one.

There have already been countless adaptations of "A Christmas Carol" about the greedy miser Ebenezer Scrooge and his spiritual journey toward celebrating the holiday season along with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Several film adaptations have followed, including a 2009 performance-capture film starring Jim Carrey and 1988's Scrooged starring Bill Murray.

New tasks on the horizon from Reynolds embrace Michael Bay's Netflix motion movie 6 Underground, Lionsgate's The Hitman's Spouse's Bodyguard, and Shawn Levy's Free Man.
