Whang's partner, Jeff Vezain, shared the news in a Facebook post after she died Thursday night at the couple's home.
Vezain said Whang was encouraged by the love of her friends, family and fans and that "she would prefer that her life be celebrated, as opposed to her passing mourned". She also played a recurring role on the show Las Vegas and worked as a minister, radio host, producer, political activist, and published author, per CBS Los Angeles.
