Dream Girl has been produced under the banner of Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. Over the opening weekend, the film has amassed Rs 44.57 crore. Earlier on Saturday, the film did a business of Rs 16.42 crore, while Ayushmann's film Dream Girl had a collection of Rs 10.05 crore on the first day. Now, the film released last week and has managed to rake in moolah at the box office. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directed film started with around ₹9.5 crore on Friday and went up to ₹16 crore and ₹18 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The multi-faceted star has an eventful filmography with back-to-back hits so far with "Andhadhun", "Badhaai Ho", and "Article 15", and now "Dream Girl" is making waves at the box-office, giving him enough reasons to celebrate his birthday with much fervour. The trailer of the film showcased Ayushmann as a girl playing Sita in Ram Leela and left everyone in awe of the actor. Opening up on the success of the film, Ayushmann acknowledged that It has been a fantastic weekend for "Dream Girl" and he is thrilled with the response and love.
