Rory skeptical about Tour Championship format

PGA Tour: A guide to the wild new Tour Championship format

World's best golfers poised for bizarre Tour Championship where $15m winner may not be player to hit fewest shots

The FedEx Cup Playoffs will conclude this weekend at East Lake Golf Club with the annual Tour Championship - and the PGA Tour's drastic Tour Championship format change will be making its debut.

In this edition of "Off The Tee", Joel Harrington from 4 Deep Golf blog and I discuss the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which has been trimmed from four events to three.

In the eyes of some players, that might not be enough.

To that end, FedEx increased its season-long bonus pool from $35 million to $60 million, with $15 million (up from $10 million) going to the victor and $5 million to second. Thomas was thrilled to win the cup and its $10 million prize, but felt like a loser in the immediate aftermath because he was second in the Tour Championship to Xander Schauffele. 6-10 will start at four-under.

Whoever finishes with the lowest score to par wins the FedEx Cup and gets credit for winning the Tour Championship, even if he doesn't have the lowest score in the Tour Championship.

And yes, he will be paying attention.

Space telescope shows exoplanet
The side which is facing towards the star, or dayside, has a temperature of about 1,410 degrees Fahrenheit (770 degrees Celsius). The researchers believe that the planet is " a bare rock , unless a thin atmosphere is continually replenished over time".

"So I don't have to worry about that", he said. We've only had one multiple victor this season, Brooks Koepka, and he's arguably the best player in the world at the moment.

He thought back to 2017, when he won five times, including his first major.

One function of the FedEx Cup hasn't changed: It was created to give an advantage to players who had the best season, and who played their best golf in the postseason when the points were valued four times higher.

One huge shocker the model is calling for: Koepka, a four-time major victor and one of the top Vegas favorites to win it all this week, makes a strong push but falls short of winning the title.

Also on the outside looking in were former FedEx Cup champions Jordan Spieth (2015) in 44th, Billy Horschel (2014) at 43rd and Jim Furyk (2010) at No. 51.

So who wins the final tournament of the FedEx Cup Playoffs 2019? The question you probably want the answer to - 'Should I play JT?' - is unfortunately one that I can't answer definitively for you.

Aaron Rodgers Returns To Practice Monday
The Raiders' worldwide tour gets started in the preseason when they play a "home" exhibition against Green Bay in Canada. Green Bay shouldn't have much to worry about when it comes to Rodgers knocking off rust.

Patrick Cantlay, the No. 2, could appreciate the feeling. I was p***ed, to be perfectly honest, that I didn't win. "There are world ranking points on the line. So the No. 1 goal is finishing on top of the leaderboard".

There is one final opportunity for Tiger to play this year. Third-place Brooks Koepka will start at 7-under par, and so on. It predicted Gary Woodland's first career major championship at the U.S. Open even though he wasn't the favorite entering the weekend.

All-in-all it was a year of lackluster play from Tiger as he struggled physically to stay at the top of his game.

"And that was just two rounds", McIlroy said.

"One of the things that I've talked about over the past couple of years is I don't think the money needs to be front and center, because I don't think that's what the fans care about", he said. Is it rewarding a few weeks? Justin Thomas is a whopping $14,200, which is almost $2,000 more than the next highest-priced player (Patrick Cantlay). That makes me nervous. "But if that were the case and I wasn't to win, I would understand why Brooks would still. he's had a lot of other great golf and great finishes". "I just went through all the roundabout of getting it all sorted out".

Koepka has three wins and three runner-up finishes among his eight top 10s. Cantlay has made two starts in the Tour Championship, recording a tie for 20th two years ago and tying for 21st last year. The next week, he won 41,580 euros for his tie for fourth in Madrid. I haven't gone through it.

Syrian army opens corridor for people to leave rebel-held Idlib
It's impossible today for people to head toward the Syrian regime's areas. "These people have escaped the regime", he said. Since a deal with Russian Federation a year ago , Turkey has maintained 12 such posts in and around Idlib province.

"You really had no idea where you stood or what the outcome was potentially going to be", Matt Kuchar added when speaking to media on Tuesday about the old points system. I'll be seeing you soon, but until then I hope your drives are long and your putts are short. It was way too much math to do when you're trying to figure out if somebody three groups away - and not even that close to you, but happens to get within a stroke and points vary - nobody could do the math. Don't ever text me something like this.' That was something where - especially in a text message where you can't hear the tone - you just look at it.
