Kieran Tierney is almost a Gunner.

Unai Emery is desperate to strengthen his defence ahead of the new season and left-back has been identified as a key area of concern amid on-going doubts over Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac.

Tierney is still recovering from double hernia operation but this is unlikely to prevent a move from happening.

Only on Friday the Celtic manager Neil Lennon had said that no bids have been put in and that Tierney would remain a Hoop until such a time that the clubs valuation had been met.

It is to be noted that India have faced defeat in five big knockout matches in ICC tournaments in the last five years. Yuvi also expressed disappointment with how things panned out with Ambati Rayudu .

The question now is how much are Celtic willing to push up their asking price for the defender without scaring away Arsenal?

Now, BBC Sport state that Arsenal have lodged an improved £25m bid for Tierney, which would make him the most expensive sale in the history of Scottish football.

A £25m move would top the £19.7m Celtic received when Moussa Dembele joined Lyon in summer 2018.

The Ivory Coast global has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer with Arsenal named as one of several clubs to have expressed their interest in luring him to England.

Earlier this summer, Celtic rejected a £15m bid by Arsenal for the serviced of Tierney, however, by adding £10m, it looks like Celtic are keen on accepting the bid.

Arsenal have returned with a second bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney that could be worth up to £25 million to the Scottish side.

It remains to be seen whether the Glasgow side will accept the new offer for Tierney or sit tight and wait for an even bigger one.
