Kevin Durant Listed As Questionable For Game 5 Following Practice

The Golden State Warriors are listing Durant - who has been sidelined for more than a month with a strained calf - as a "game-time decision" for Game 5 of The Finals (9 p.m. ET on ABC). On Sunday, Durant worked with some of the Warriors' young players to test how his calf would hold up.

Like Thompson, Warriors guard Stephen Curry doesn't think it will be tough to get Durant into the rhythm quickly again.

Writing in The Athletic on Sunday, Sam Amick wrote that Golden State players' "irritation grew in large part because they simply didn't understand why" Durant didn't play in Game 4.

"That's why I'm pleased that there will be two days before the next game and the next couple after that, if we can keep extending the series".

That said, the Golden State Warriors can't expect their savior to come back. "It's just having another powerful weapon out there that can do some very dynamic things on the floor".

"If we focus on that mission, our history kind of speaks for itself in terms of being able to get that done".

He enters Monday's game aware of his club's championship pedigree - the Warriors have won three of the last four National Basketball Association championships - and cognizant that past victories don't put points on the board for the current club.
