Mumbai: Salman Khan starrer "Bharat" has set all records straight with raking the first day collections at the box office as the highest ever of all times for the superstar.

Salman on Thursday took to social media to thank his fans for giving "me my career's biggest opening ever". "Jai Hind", Salman added.

It is the official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean movie "Ode To My Father". The Bollywood film depicts the history of India along with the life of an ordinary man. "I'm ecstatic that audiences have liked our attempt to make Bharat a thoroughly entertaining joyride that also has its soul in the right place", he said.
