At its annual Google I/O developer conference in California on Tuesday the search giant detailed its commitment to foldable devices as part of the next version of Android, now codenamed "Q". But the company stands ready to continue research and develop on concepts as it has publicly admitted to prototyping foldables. While Samsung and Huawei have already had their special moments, revealing their first foldable smartphones, Google isn't completely left behind.

Now that the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are out, expect Google to make more announcements.
