The investigation's final report, which was submitted to Attorney General William Barr on Friday, has not yet been seen by lawmakers, including Jordan.

Those who professed deep skepticism of the media hysteria that has surrounded the probe over the last two year took the news that no further indictments were coming out of Mueller's office as a sign that the evidence for collusion or deeper crimes by Trump or his campaign (including the president's son Donald Trump Jr.) have always been overstated.

Barr, the top US law enforcement official, spent nine hours on Saturday studying the report.

Mueller delivered his long-awaited report Friday to the Justice Department, which was expected to release the main findings as soon as Saturday.

It's now up to Attorney General Barr to decide which parts of Mueller's report will be made public.

News of the report appeared to create widespread trama among Democratic activists, and Trump's Sunday morning Tweets seemed only to exacerbate the anguish. Some cautioned portions of it might need to remain confidential.

Mueller will be issuing no more indictments, meaning questions will swirl about the many elements of the investigation that did not result in criminal charges.

Right now, we don't know how many additional investigations are taking place because they're done behind closed doors and in secret.

The US Attorney General has sent summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation to Congress.

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives scheduled a conference call on Saturday afternoon to discuss next steps and messaging, congressional aides said.

House Democrats will gather by phone on Saturday as they wait for the Justice Department to send them details of what special counsel Robert Mueller has found in his investigation of Russian interference. None of those charges, however, directly related to whether Trump's campaign worked with Moscow.
