Now the Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across the country, starting Sunday, for snow and ice, snow and wind.

680 NEWS meteorologist Jill Taylor said the temperature will be near 0 C by Saturday night when the active weather rolls in.

According to Met Éireann‏, Saturday night will be cold with showery rain, merging into longer spells of rain at times.

Poor visibility, with slippery and icy conditions, will occur at times, Met Eireann warns.
