United Kingdom would be "naïve" and "irresponsible" to trust Huawei says think tank

Huawei, along with another Chinese network equipment company ZTE Corp, has been accused the United States of working at the behest of the Chinese government.

The report comes after Ciaran Martin, chief executive of the UK's National Cyber Security Centre, said he is confident that Britain's cyber security authorities can manage any risks associated with letting Huawei get involved in development of 5G networks. The decision that the United Kingdom will be watched closely by other nations undecided about the direction of their own policy on Huawei. It is not in any sensitive networks - including those of the government.

Huawei says the chipset, called Tiangang, will support simplified 5G networks and large-scale network deployment around the world.

Some frame it as a cold evaluation of the technical risks.

"There's no way the USA can crush us", Ren told the BBC.

USA officials have been pressuring European allies to shun the company over worries that Huawei equipment could be used by Beijing for electronic espionage.

La première chose qui l'a faite pour se faire pardonner c'est de donner une passe décisive pour son coéquipier Ander Herrera . Six jours après sa défaite contre le Paris Saint-Germain (0-2) en Ligue des Champions, Manchester United a bien réagi.

US government officials including Vice President Mike Pence publicly warned European allies against using Huawei during a visit last week.

Ren has been forced to come into the limelight as due to the recent criticism from several countries as the company Huawei has come under escalating pressure over espionage concerns from nations, and the US-led campaign in order to persuade other nations to ban its technology as well as 5G network, the next generation network.

"There are a range of factors that go into assessing whether the technology used in one of the most vulnerable parts of our infrastructure - our telecommunications network - is the right technology to be deployed". Australia also has opted not to let Huawei provide 5G services.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said essentially the same thing on Wednesday, saying the country had to make its own decisions about Huawei regardless of its intelligence relationships with Five Eyes members.

"Our regime is arguably the toughest and most rigorous oversight regime in the world for Huawei".

'Last year we said we found some worrying engineering and security issues, ' he said yesterday.

Martin said Huawei had pledged to address the problems, but acknowledged that doing so would take some years.

Commenting on the report, Martin said: "As we said then, and repeat today, these problems are about standards of cyber security; they are not indicators of hostile activity by China". "Sorry, that is another topic", he told a cybersecurity conference.

He described assertions that Chinese technology in any part of a 5G network represented "unacceptable risks" as "nonsense".

The UK's strategy for monitoring of the use of Huawei technology in UK telecoms networks is proving effective, according to a senior intelligence chief.

In a sign of Britain's division over 5G, a security think tank warned the same day against using Huawei gear.

According to Dawn news reports, in an interview with the BBC, Huawei founder Ren said: "There's no way the USA can crush us".
