Season 2 of Killing Eve releases its first intense trailer

Based on the novellas by Luke Jennings, BBCA's Killing Eve centers on two women; Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade security services operative whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. The first season was lauded by critics, and star Sandra Oh won a Golden Globe, a SAG award, and a Critic's Choice award for her performance as complicated MI5 officer Eve Polastri. Everyone's favorite assassin obsession love story is back with the first trailer for season two. Season 1 ended with MI6 operative Eve (Oh) burying a knife in the tummy of global assassin Villanelle (Comer) and then having second thoughts, and the action will resume in the aftermath of Villanelle's wounded escape. There has simply never been a female character the likes of Villanelle on television before.

The first trailer for the much-anticipated second season of Killing Eve has been unveiled and features psychosexual drama, black comedy and at least one ominous shot of a kitchen knife.
