Ravens Joe Flacco Traded to Broncos

Report: Broncos have agreement to trade for Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco

Ravens trade Super Bowl-winning QB Joe Flacco to Broncos, according to reports

After a number of lackluster seasons, Flacco eventually lost his starting job to rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson, who led the Ravens to a wild-card playoff berth past year.

This is interesting on a couple of fronts. Waived at the start of the 2018 season, Lynch hasn't thrown a pass since.

He also went on to say that he doesn't feel like this year's draft is "rich of young quarterbacks".

I didn't force yellow card - Ramos backtracks on intentional booking revelation
"It is not to underestimate the opposition but sometimes you have to make tough decisions", said Ramos after the match. All yellow cards and pending suspensions expire after the quarter-finals and can not be carried forward to the semis.

Though Flacco has won a Super Bowl and had a legendary stretch of outstanding play in that entire postseason, his play has generally been mediocre, or worse, since that winter.

Flacco's departure was anticipated as rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson filled in admirably for him as the veteran dealt with injuries last season, leading the Ravens into the playoffs. Jackson struggled in that game and many Ravens fans were wondering why head coach John Harbaugh didn't re-insert Flacco as the starter in the second half.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the Broncos would send a midround pick for Flacco, 34, who was the No. 18 overall draft pick in 2008 and is due to make $18.5 million in 2019. Broncos had two, fourth-round picks - one from Demaryius Thomas trade to Houston.

Flacco is likely to replace Case Keenum as the Broncos' starting quarterback.

The Ravens will save $10.5 million in cap space when the deal is completed.

With the tenth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos have the opportunity to pick up several defensive candidates. He helped lead the team to victory in Super Bowl XLVII and was named Super Bowl MVP in the process.
