State bill introduced to nix personal exemptions for measles vaccine

Measles outbreak prompts state of emergency declaration by Washington governor

Washington measles outbreak is causing concern among Idaho health officials

Clark County Public Health has identified 35 confirmed cases and 11 suspected cases since January 1, when it first began investigating the outbreak.

In Friday's statement, Inslee said, "Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease that can be fatal in small children".

Washington state officials are now beginning the arduous and costly task of tracking down everyone who might have been exposed to the infection and cautioning them to be on the alert for symptoms, including runny nose, red eyes, fever and rash. Texas is one of the worth offenders, but Washington state also has two metropolitan areas-Seattle and Spokane-that the study identified as hotspots of low vaccination coverage.

Of the 26 cases confirmed cases, 16 are in kids from as young as one up to just 10-years-old. "But because the vast majority of us are immune to measles, we tend to not see more than a couple of generations of cases".

All the cases confirmed were in Clark County, except one man from King County who reported that he had traveled to Vancouver recently where he might have been exposed, according to a King County Public Health report. The outlet reported that 7.9 percent of children in Clark County were exempt in the 2017-2018 school year from vaccines required for kindergarten entry, making it a hotspot for outbreaks.

Roger Stone Doesn't Plan to Cooperate with Robert Mueller
Napolitano went on to say that Stone is loving the attention he's getting, which is why he's been so chatty ever since his arrest. Stone has previously denied that he ever bullied other witnesses to change their testimony, which is another allegation he faces.

Clark County has so far poured $100,000 into trying to contain the outbreak, with staff being reassigned from other duties to help manage the public health effort.

But measles is still a big problem in other parts of the world.

She also urges anyone who is concerned about measles to speak to a health care provider before coming into the office.

The incubation period for measles is seven to 21 days, which means that an unvaccinated person who has been exposed could be out in public for up to three weeks before getting sick.

But there has been a recent rise in unvaccinated children.

Konica Minolta Cadillac Rolex 24 race report
Finishing second was the No. 31 Cadillac DPi of Whelen Engineering Racing, co-driven by Felipe Nasr , Eric Curran and Pipo Derani. Pair that with a biblical amount of rain, and the ensuing carnage will look something like this weekend's 24 hours of Daytona .

The disease was considered eradicated in the United States, but has been spiking in the Pacific northwest. Clark County Public Health Officer Alan Melnick told the paper that if vaccination rates don't go up in the area, the state could be seeing more incidents like this one moving forward.

These rates of non-vaccination are particularly high in the state of OR, which is worrisome considering its close proximity to the outbreak in nearby Clark County, Washington.

The virus is spread through the air and lingers.

Measles was declared completely eliminated within the U.S.in 2000 due to the country's widespread vaccination program.

HB-1638 would only apply to measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines in the "philosophical or personal objections" category.
