Twofer! Total lunar eclipse with supermoon bonus

Lunar De-Light! How to View 2019's Sole Total Eclipse of the Moon

A Super Wolf Blood Moon will light up the sky this weekend

This is the only total lunar eclipse that will be visible in 2019, according to NASA.

Lunar eclipses can occur only during a full moon, and this one was extra special because it was also a supermoon.

The "super moon" gives off a red glow on the moons surface as it moves into Earth's shadow, this is known as a blood moon.

The "Wolf" Moon is actually the official name of the full moon that happens during the month of January. Frank Gunn/CP A lunar eclipse progresses behind the "Monumento a la Carta Magna y Las Cuatro Regiones Argentinas" in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Monday, Jan. 21, 2019. Totality lasted about an hour, featuring a rusty red, "blood" color typical of a total lunar eclipse.

Tim Tebow Gets Another Invite To Mets Spring Training
Tebow spent the 2018 season at Double-A Binghamton, batting.273 with six home runs and 36 RBIs in 84 games. He was with the Mets at big league camp last season as well and drew big crowds everywhere he went.

During this eclipse, direct sunlight is completely blocked by the Earth's shadow.

According to the National Geographic, "This lunar eclipse happens to coincide with the wolf moon, the traditional name for the January full moon".

A rare super blood wolf moon eclipse lit up the skies across the country overnight Sunday. The moon reached maximum eclipse at 9:12 p.m. and remained as such until 9:43 p.m. The rare celestial event was visible across the Northern Hemisphere, including North and South America, parts of Europe, Asia and Africa.

But why don't we see total lunar eclipses more often? But the moon's orbit is tilted a little bit compared to the Earth's, so usually when the moon is full, the Earth's shadow passes a little bit above or a little bit below it.

Theresa May avoids ruling out no-deal in fresh Brexit amendments
After May's motion is published, MPs will be able to propose amendments to it, setting out alternatives to her deal. May's government then survived a confidence vote on Wednesday and set about talks with figures from rival parties.

And while the events alone aren't totally uncommon, when they are combined they make for a spectacular display.

The optimum viewing time was at around 5.12am when the eclipse was at its peak.

But what exactly is a Blood Moon, when can you next see one and when did the United Kingdom last experience one?
