Chris Pratt has announced his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, after less than a year of dating.

A screengrab from Chris Pratt's Instagram account revealing the news of his engagement.

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" he wrote. "I love Him. And you should too". Proud to go boldly in faith with you.

Pratt shared his happy news on social media with a photo of himself cuddling Schwarzenegger.

Katherine is the eldest daughter of Terminator actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Pratt has previously spoken out about how much "divorce sucks".

Schwarzenegger later spent time with Pratt's brother Cully at the Round Pond Estate winery in Napa, California in early September. The two were first spotted together last June, and only made their relationship Instagram official last month.

On Halloween, Pratt and Faris took Jack trick-or-treating, each accompanied by partners Schwarzenegger and Michael Barrett, respectively.

Chris and Anna finalised their divorce, three months ago following eight years of marriage.
