We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on further course of action, " told the company spokesperson to the newspaper. In 2015, actor Aamir Khan lost his endorsements after he made a comment on the growing intolerance in the country.

The BCCI statement said both offending players were initially hit with a notice which led them to respond with an apology.

The decision to suspend the duo with immediate effect comes after Diana Edulji, member of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA), advocated suspension of both the players until the quantum of sentence is announced.
