After DawgNation's Mike Griffith reported this morning that Georgia quarterback Justin Fields was transferring from Georgia to Ohio State, Fields announced the news that he was in fact leaving via Twitter.

Fields came to Georgia out of Harrison High School in Kennesaw. His 50 touchdown passes this season broke Drew Brees' single-season Big Ten mark, to go with a 70-percent completion rate and almost 5,000 passing yards.

Fields entered into the NCAA Transfer Portal late last month, clearing the first hurdle towards his exit from Georgia. Martell, like Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, had his senior season documented by Netflix for the show QB1: Beyond the Lights.

Assuming Fields is deemed eligible, Ohio State will yet again be one of the most talked about teams in college football with Ryan Day taking over as the head coach. Both are close and have trained with quarterbacks coach Quincy Avery. Eason did sit out the 2018 season, where as Fields intends to apply for a waiver to make him immediately eligible.

Haskins' day was filled with dizzying statistics, including his six touchdown passes almost matching the seven total MI had yielded all season. But beyond the Heisman Trophy finalist, freshman Tate Martell is the only other quarterback on Ohio State's roster to play this season. At the time, Haskins said he hadn't made a decision.
