Vichai's body was flown back to Thailand and taken to Wat Thepsirin on Friday where prominent individuals close to the family wore black for a private gathering ahead of the official ceremony which starts Saturday evening and lasts until November 9.

They are team captain Wes Morgan, defenders Harry Maguire, Christian Fuchs and Ben Chiwell, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Marc Albrighton and Andy King.

Striker Jamie Vardy, speaking for the first time since the crash, told Sky Sports News: "It'll be massively important we attend".

"But it is their last farewell to him, and will doubtless be an emotional occasion for them".
