YouTube experiencing "access issues" in apparent global outage

YouTube acknowledged the outage in a tweet at 9:41 p.m. EDT, noting that it affected YouTube, YouTube Music and YouTube TV.

The site was restored at 11:38 which time almost 5,000 tweets had inundated Twitter in Korea with a hashtag for "YouTube Server".

As of around 10:00 am, the reports seem to have died down on Downdetector, indicating that the service is getting back online.
