Spurs without Alli and Lloris for Liverpool clash

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is set to be without captain Hugo Lloris and playmaker Dele Alli for this weekends clash against Liverpool.

World Cup-winning captain Hugo Lloris has admitted being more than twice the drink-drive limit when he was stopped by police in central London.

Dele Alli will also miss out with a hamstring injury he sustained playing for England last week.

"He is the first to regret about everything and all that happened is not good, he doesn't feel great", Pochettino said. "Today if you make a lot of mistakes then of course against Liverpool, one of the best teams in Europe, you will be punished".

History says Seattle Storm WNBA coronation only a matter of time
Howard was right behind her, dropping a double-double 29 points and 14 rebounds in the win, shooting 11-of-14 from the field. Perhaps opposing teams are being more careful defending Delle Donne, because when she does get to the line, she's automatic.

"That doesn't show that we are arrogant and show that we don't accept the opinions of different people". I told you the challenge is massive this season.

Asked whether Lloris, who was found to be twice the legal limit and had a passenger in the vehicle, would remain captain, Pochettino said: "Of course".

I don't want to say more as I don't want to say anything more that will help no-one.

"They will be a really strong side and no I don't think it's the ideal time to play Tottenham".

He told Sky Sports: "It's hard for Mauricio Pochettino". We need to keep working and improving. "I am disappointed because we are going to miss him for this game and maybe the Champions League game against Inter Milan [on September 18]".

Lallana was forced to withdraw from global duty due to a groin strain and while the issue is not serious, it will keep him out of the Premier League encounter at Wembley on Saturday. "It's not a situation that worries us".

Lloris missed the defeat at Watford before the global break after suffering the problem during the win over Manchester United in late August and the French worldwide is expected to be out for several weeks.
