Everton's £50-million signing Richarlison continued to quieten queries of his price tag with the victor as Southampton were defeated 2-1 at Goodison Park, while Leicester saw off Wolves 2-0 despite a red card for Jamie Vardy.

Arsenal continue their hard start to the 2018/2019 Premier League campaign, with a trip to London rivals Chelsea this Saturday.

Tottenham are the only club in the Premier League not to have signed any new players this summer as they look to try and challenge for the title once again.

Leicester City and Everton registered their first wins, while Tottenham Hotspur maintained their winning start in Saturday's Premier League action.

Pochettino told the BBC: "Knowing the way we won, we need to improve different areas".

In contrast to Spurs, West Ham splurged almost £100 million in the transfer market to back new manager Manuel Pellegrini but still have no points to show for it after a second-half surrender to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth completed the turnaround amid more weak defending from the home side, scoring their second goal in six minutes through Steve Cook's header.

That sort of scoreline was never a possibility at Stamford Bridge, where the visitors raced into a two-goal the lead through Alvaro Morata and Pedro, but were lucky to go into the interval level after Arsenal squandered opportunities either side of goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi.

Moura opened the scoring for Spurs just before half-time but they were pegged back when Aleksandar Mitrovic headed home.

Richarlison continued his excellent start to life on Merseyside as Everton saw off Southampton 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Jamie Vardy was red carded in the 66th minute but the Foxes used their experience to hold on to victory.
