Warner Bros. showcased a new trailer for FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDEWALD during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con. There's even a small hint at Dumbledore's relationship with Grindelwald, though the movie will frustratingly not show any more than that. Eddie Redmayne, who plays Newt Scamander in the film, recently told Entertainment Weekly that the film has "cryptic elements".
The sequel to the Harry Potter spin-off seems darker than ever, with Newt out of his depth on his globe-trotting quest for Dumbledore.
Be that as it may, the sequel still looks like an absolute treat, promising to whisk viewers away on another magical journey through Hogwarts and the wider Wizarding World.
" L'Etat-nation juif " soulève un tollé en Israël !
Le Premier ministre Benyamin Netanyahou, qui avait fait de ce texte son cheval de bataille, s'est lui félicité du vote. Enfin, la Turquie a estimé qu'elle " foulait aux pieds " le droit international et les droits des Arabes israéliens.
They're never going to live up to the Harry Potter series, but there's still plenty of whimsy and magic here. Ezra Miller however, stood out from the crowd with his brilliant sexy Toadette cosplay. The panel also premiered the latest trailer for the upcoming film, which gives us a look at young Newt Scamander in Young Dumbledore's Defense Against the Dark Arts course.
Probably one of the coolest moments of the panel came when a fan asked what the cast would want to do if they actually had wizard powers.
The footage, which is sprinkled with incredible special effects and also teases a tense battle between Grindelwald and Newt, is definitely worth drooling over, but for some watchers, there's a sour reminder mixed in with all the fun: Johnny Depp is involved in a major way.
Amid this chaos, we also see the good side of Newt highlighted by none other than his ex-flame Leta LeStrange, played by Zoe Kravitz.
But the movie has sparked controversy over the continued casting of Johnny Depp despite domestic violence allegations from his ex-wife Amber Heard, and because Dumbledore won't be "explicitly" gay. Depp was in full costume, and it would appear, in character. The actor definitely made a very memorable appearance at Comic-Con today by showing up as Grindelwald, the titular villain he is portraying in Fantastic Beasts 2: Crimes of Grindlewald.
